SAUTED SHISHITO JAPANESE PEPPERS AND VEGETABLE CURRY OVER BASMATI RICE ON AUGUST 2
A beautiful Monday in New York and a visit to the green market at Union square, allowed me to discover a Japanese pepper called Shishito. This very tasty pepper is sweet-hot, thin-walled green and very popular in Japan. They grow in the summer and are perfect appetizers. You can find them at sushi bars or at Japanese tapas.[br]

I also found sweet fresh corn, Lao purple stripe eggplant and yellow zuchinni. Alfonso came out with the idea of preparing a vegetable curry along with Basmati rice. The dinner was light and flavorful, another meatless Monday.[br]
