A RISOTTO COMEBACK AND A VISIT TO THE FILLING STATION ON FEBRUARY 26

A nice walk on Saturday afternoon took us to the Chelsea Market. There we visited our favorites stores, checked some books and got caught on a new interesting store called The Filling Station. They  specialized in extra virgin olive oils, balsamic vinegars, sea salts, sugars, scrubs and soon craft beer both local and imported. They strive to be environmentally friendly and encourage their customers to reuse their bottles and receive a 10% discount on refills. We bought a very nice black truffle salt that we are using on some dishes such asparagus risotto. It’s really good!
