A VISIT TO “COMIDA” RESTAURANT ON FEBRUARY 17

On Thursday night we decided to go to Comida Mercado Fresco Restaurant in Park Slope. This Yucatecan-style restaurant and bar, wasn’t good enough to make our evening memorable. I think everything is about details and care, and Comida did lack of that. The food was OK but not with the flair and succulent simple flavors that you can find just per example at Reyes Deli or Tacos Matamoros. [br]

We had fried calamari, shrimp cocktail, Cochinita Pibil and salsa Xnipec (braised achiote and chile rubbed pork with chile habanero, pickled red onion salsa) tacos platter with Nopal asado and rosemary spinach as sides.[br]
