CHAR No4 AND BAR HOPPING ON OCTOBER 6

On Wednesday night we went out to check Char No4 menu. Last year we went there to enjoy some food at the bar and sample some whiskeys. Back then the food was OK but not memorable and somehow this time we experienced the same. The food is overpriced for what you get. I had a overdressed arugula salad with fried goat cheese, pears and plums….definitely too much salt to my taste. Alfie had cod wrapped with bacon and manila clams. Decent but not delicious. Also we tried the house bacon with Heirloom tomatoes….OK but nothing worth coming back for. [br]

I have to say that the evening was nice, at the end of the meal we tasted 2 delicious bourbons, definitely the highlight of the night. [br]

If you like whiskey, we totally recommend Char No4, for food choose something else.
