On Tuesday August 17 we had a day full of blessings and love. Great friends and delicious food were the main components of a special day to celebrate Alfie’s birthday. I selected Convivium Osteria as a venue for the surprise dinner. The food was superb, every dish was wonderful and beautifully plated. [br]

Appetizers[br]

  • Selezione di olive (Selection of imported olives marinated in olive oil garlic and oregano).
  • Carciofo alla romana (Braised artichoke in olive oil mint and garlic).
  • Gambas enteras a la flor de sal (Whole large prawns roasted with ‘flor de sal’ sea salt).
  • Pulpo asado con judiones de la granja (Grilled baby octopus with judions de la granja beans).
  • Fish Carpaccio over greens, parmesan cheese and red peppercorns.

Entrees[br]

  • Ravioli di mele verdi e cannella con ragu d’anatra (Green apple and cinnamon ravioli with duck ragu).
  • Carciofo alla romana (Braised artichoke in olive oil mint and garlic).
  • Intingolo di coniglio alla romana con crostini di polenta (Braised rabbit with olives, capers and prosciutto with polenta crostini).
  • Chuleton de buey a la parilla con patatas fritas (for two) Pinehill farms 48 oz grilled and oven roasted rib-eye with fried potatoes.
  • Fresh pasta with braised rabbit ragu
