TANDOORI CHICKEN, AVOCADO RELISH AND BASMATI RICE ON JULY 15

This was really good. we cooked ginger and garlic in a little oil for a minute, then added garam masala, chili powder, cumin and heated for 30 more seconds. mixed this into plain yoghurt and lime juice. then i scored the pieces of chicken and rubbed them with more garlic and spices, put it in a bowl and poured the spicy yoghurt mixture over the chicken until was evenly coated. i marinated the chicken in this mixture for 40 minutes. then tossed the chicken pieces to coat and placed in a foil lined baking sheet and cooked in the oven at 330º for about 20-25 minutes. then removed from oven and set the broiler in high and flip the chicken side, put back in the oven, close to the broiler and cook for another 10 minutes, or until the tops begin to char.

we sided this with a avocado relish dressed with lime, sesame oil, olive oil  and a bowl of basmati rice. Delish!
